The nice folks at Bernal Cutlery in San Francisco asked us to do these classic gold leaf window signs for them at their new shop on Guerrero St.

Good, Old Fashioned simplicity is what we love!

Golden West spent this sunny spring day painting a classic wall sign for the great folks at Beauty’s Bagel Shop in Oakland. We also did their window & hours a few months ago but forgot to photograph them, until now!

Another timeless, classic sign out there in the world…today’s mission has been accomplished!

We got to paint these wall signs for the awesome folks at Cat Head’s BBQ in San Francisco. We love painting signs for nice folks on warm summer days!

Derek recently got the opportunity to gild a grave marker at the Mountain View Cemetery for the Abed family, with 23 karat gold. The lettering above the name was previously painted with a bronze paint. The contrast really  makes the gold leaf shine! We’re hoping to more of this type of work in the future.

Derek & I have just returned from Garberville, Ca where we painted the shopfront for Sequoia Wellness and Apothecary. The shop owner provided the artwork (her logo) which features the awesome Redwood Moth. We painted her front door with the logo, a simple address on her transom window and simple window valences to border the additional windows.

Derek got the opportunity to paint this sign, which is a replica of an old sign from a children’s theme park, for an excited customer. They sure don’t design ‘em like they used to!

The Hotsy Totsy Club (Albany, Ca’s oldest running bar) asked Derek to swing by and paint their operating hours on their door. Nothing beats a good old fashioned, hand-lettered door!

Golden West Sign Arts spent the day painting window signs at Standard & Strange in the Temescal Alley, Oakland.

They sell men’s wear and accessories that are all made in the USA & they’re great guys too! Swing by their store sometime!

Derek, Duncan and our pal Timothy Maddox (the fellow that snapped these photos) painted this great wall sign for Maximart Pharmacy in Palo Alto, Ca. C

Designed by GWSA to fit the era and design of the building and expertly lettered on a less-than-smooth surface!

Great job, guys! Another classic sign out the door!

We just finished up this great A-frame sign for our pals at Team Print Shop in Oakland!
